About

Metro Property Management

Metro Property Management has a well-defined focus: only rental properties and only in Dunedin, Mosgiel and surrounds. The result is a superior service for both our property owners and our tenants.

Our Property Managers

Our Property Managers are good people, who genuinely care about their tenants, properties and owners. Otago is small place, where reputations are earned. You do a good job and people appreciate it.

Both owners and tenants, alike, also appreciate dealing with a single Property Manager, so that’s how we work.

Grant Kelly
Property Manager since 2001

The first 25 years of Grant’s career were spent with Farmers Mutual Group insurance and its predecessors, including several years as an area manager. He moved into property management in 2001 and joined Metro Property Management two years later.

Grant’s background in the insurance sector has equipped him with excellent risk management skills and an astute eye for reading people accurately.

Janette Sharp
Property Manager since 2013

Janette spent her working life in hands-on roles – including at Tamahine Knitwear and Cadburys – before joining Sealord for 20 years as a supervisor, a role which included recruitment. As a result, she can work with anyone from any walk of life, which is a valuable skill as a Property Manager.

Janette believes providing quality service to her tenants is a critical aspect of the role, because of the goodwill it generates and the benefits to tenants, landlords and the Property Manager.

Kirsten Pram
Property Manager

Kirsten’s previous roles have been in HR/recruitment and people management, so she understands the importance of finding people that are the right fit.

Kirsten is passionate about helping people find the perfect place to call home, and helping landlords find the right tenant. Her dedication to client satisfaction will set her apart in the property management industry.

Charlie Sheppard
Office Administrator

Charlie is a great ambassador for the importance of responsive customer service. He worked for two years at the PGG Wrightson contact centre, servicing rural clients and handling account queries.

Charlie was attracted to property management, after observing his parents’ positive experience as landlords and recognising his skills lent themselves to a property manager’s role. He is equally mindful of the tenants’ needs and wants.

Tom Sharp
Business Development Manager

It’s been more than 30 years since Tom began his property management career, as a self-employed manager. For a period, he worked in the fishing industry, where he implemented health and safety processes and procedures. He returned to property management in 2013, when he joined Metro Property Management.

Tom thrives on the variety of the job and the commercial necessity to deliver quality service to property owners. He has been both a landlord and a tenant over his lifetime, so appreciates the balancing act required of a property manager.

Within the company, Tom is the “go to” person for dealing with the intricacies of property and tenancy legislation.
